Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026

Eximerge is a website operated by Shalini Jai. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

We have tried to write this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate. If anything is unclear, please contact us using the details at the end.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Name, email and message — if you write to us through our contact form.

That is all we ask for. We do not ask for your phone number, address, PAN, Aadhaar, bank details, or any financial information. Please do not send us such details.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time. Our web host records these automatically for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics data — we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. This collects anonymised information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. You can opt out using Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

What our tools do not collect

Our free tools — including the FEMA Compliance Toolkit, Form A2 generator, LRS/TCS calculator, GST on Forex calculator and compliance checklist — run entirely inside your own browser. Any figures, names, account numbers or other details you type into these tools stay on your device. They are never transmitted to us, never stored on our servers, and disappear when you close the page. We cannot see them.

The tools require no login, no registration and no email address.

2. Why we collect it

Data Purpose Basis
Email address To send you articles, regulatory updates and tool releases Your consent
Contact form details To reply to your enquiry Your consent
Server logs Site security, fault diagnosis, abuse prevention Legitimate use
Analytics To understand which content is useful and improve it Legitimate use

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build advertising profiles.

3. Who processes your data

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Formspree (United States) — processes newsletter and contact form submissions and forwards them to our email. Your email address is stored on Formspree’s servers. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
  • Our web hosting provider — stores the website files and server logs.
  • Google Analytics and Google Search Console — used to measure site usage and monitor search performance. See Google’s privacy policy.

Some of these providers are located outside India, which means your data may be transferred and stored abroad. We only use providers that offer appropriate safeguards.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies — set by WordPress and required for the site to function.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure site usage.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

Affiliate partners (see below) may also set cookies when you click their links, so they can attribute a referral to us.

5. Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

This does not influence what we recommend. We only list tools we consider genuinely useful for exporters, importers, bankers and NRIs, and we state their limitations as well as their strengths. Where a product has drawbacks relevant to Indian users, we say so.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, or after 24 months of no engagement, whichever comes first.
  • Contact form messages — up to 12 months after your enquiry is resolved.
  • Server logs — typically 30 to 90 days, depending on our host’s settings.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Erase your data where we no longer need it
  • Withdraw consent at any time — email us and we will remove you from our list within 7 days. Once we begin sending newsletters, every email will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
  • Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you believe we have mishandled your data

To exercise any of these, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults working in trade, finance and banking. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We limit the personal data we collect to the minimum needed, which is the most effective protection we can offer. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Not professional advice

Content and tools on Eximerge are educational. They do not constitute legal, tax, financial or investment advice. Always verify current regulations with the RBI, DGFT, Income Tax Department or your authorised dealer bank before acting. Eximerge is not affiliated with any government body or financial institution.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site develops or as the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be notified to newsletter subscribers by email.
